Rev. Dr. Maxwell Grant: Senior Minister

Max has been the Senior Minister at Second Congregational Church since 2012.  Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he has also served as School Minister at Collegiate School in Manhattan, Chaplain for Pediatrics and Obstetrics at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Pastor of Community Church of the Pelhams, in Pelham, NY.  He is a graduate of Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale Divinity School, and holds a Master of Letters (MLitt) and a Ph.D. in Practical Theology from the University of St Andrews (Scotland). He is active in the work of the Conference and the Fairfield West Association, of which he is currently the Vice-Moderator, and he serves on the board of the Congregational Library and Archive in Boston.  Max and his wife, Liz, an independent school administrator, have two daughters and two Cardigan Welsh Corgis.

Alexander Constantine:
Director of Music 

Alexander Constantine has served as Director of Music for Second Congregational Church since 2001. He has been involved in church music since the age of 15 and is currently an active member of the NYC and Fairfield AGO chapters.  
He loves many different types of music and has included everything from standard choral repertoire to contemporary Christian anthems, gospel hymn arrangements, and even a Dixieland trio into our services! Alexander is also a seasoned music educator, a former Walt Disney World entertainer, and has attended the Choral Institute in Oxford for four summers.
He is a musical theatre enthusiast and has directed many musicals during his years as an educator. Alexander is proud of the music program at Second Congregational Church and continues to encourage members of our congregation to become active in one of the many musical programs we have. Soli Deo Gloria!

Laurie Meek:
​Director of Communications

Laurie has worked for Second Congregational Church since 2014. She started as the assistant to the Youth Choir Director and became the Office Assistant in 2015. In August of 2017, she moved back to her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas and took on virtual communications for the church. 
Laurie has two grown children and one grandchild. She enjoys football, travel, and catching a rodeo with family and friends whenever she can.

Pam Ferrel: 
​Office Assistant

Pam has worked as an office assistant at 2CC since September 2017. Prior to working with us, she was the executive assistant to the CRO (Chief Risk Officer) at Royal Bank of Scotland. Additionally, she has worked as a fitness instructor at the YMCA in Greenwich, CT for several years.
Pam has two grown daughters and four grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, the beach, going on long walks and spending time with her family and friends.

Jennifer Byxbee: ​Minister of Care & Connection

Jenny has served as the Minister of Care and Connection at Second Congregational Church (2CC) since 2021.  She is widely recognized for her previous tenure as the Youth Services Bureau Administrator for the Town of Greenwich. Her impactful leadership in youth services led to her being honored across multiple levels: she was named a Community Health Hero by Greenwich Hospital, received the Youth Services Bureau Administrator of the Year award from the State of Connecticut, and was presented with the Michael Dunn Quality of Life Award by the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce.
 A 2021 graduate of the Chicago Theological Preparation program, she is deeply rooted in the community with her husband, Rich, and their two daughters, Katie and Libby. Outside of her work at 2cc, Jenny serves as a Chaplain with Greenwich Chaplaincy Services.   The Byxbee family actively supports several philanthropic causes they care deeply about, such a Teddy Bear Story Time at Coffee for Good, Fairfield County Impact, GCHIP (The Greenwich Community Health Improvement Partnership), and the Hearing Health Foundation.  

Khaleigh Laicher: Director of Regional Youth Ministry

​Hello! My name is Khaleigh (“kay-lee”) Laicher, and I am honored to be the new Director of Regional Youth Ministry at 2CC. Second Congregational Church is a founding partner in what we are calling this new endeavor in the Greenwich area. Our collective prayer is that we are able to create a space where our youth feel both seen and heard. Our dream is to provide students with the experiences, tools, and resources needed to actively live out one's faith! I have been working in Faith Formation since 2017, and LOVE my calling to ministry in the local church. My wife (who goes by Julie) and I moved to Greenwich with our 5-year-old Rat Terrier named Ollie, our 15-year-old Calico named Temperance, and our nearly one-year-old kitten named Daphne! 

Gloria Ladestro:
​Office Manager

Gloria is the Office Manager at Second Congregational Church and has worked for us for more than 22 years. Before working at 2CC, Gloria was the Office Manager at Harvest Time Church in Greenwich for 15 years.
Gloria lives in Rye Brook, NY with her husband and has two children and two grandchildren.
