Our Colonial Tavern will feature a menu inspired by “tavern food” in 1776, as researched and prepared by a professional chef, Ramin Ganeshram, who is also the Executive Director of the Westport Museum and a prominent food historian who regularly consults for Mount Vernon, George Washington’s historic home. But the event is about much more than just eating the meal – the ingredients tell a fascinating story of colonial trade, global politics, changing tastes, local sources, and how households and public spaces operated. Food offers a remarkable window into colonial life and social history. With that in mind, Ramin Ganeshram will speak at different times throughout our meal to tell those stories and help us appreciate the complex history on the plates before us. |

(Ages 0-3) Hours: 9:15 -10:45 AM Complimentary childcare provided by two caring, dedicated, and CPR-certified (infant & adult) caretakers. Children’s Chapel:
(Pre-K to 5th Grade) Hours: 9:30 – 10:30 AM We encourage children to start worship with their families, after which they will be dismissed to join Children's Chapel for fun and fellowship. |
