Lisbeth brings rich professional skills and enthusiasm for teaching church music to children to the position she assumed in June 2006.
Her career has spanned music education, performance and composition. Educated at The Juilliard School, Lisbeth has been a soloist with the New York City Opera and sung leading roles in operas and operettas throughout the world. Working with Professor Peter Schickele (“P.D.Q. Bach”), she created and performed the role of Blondie in the opera “Abduction of Figaro.”
Involved in church music since childhood, Lisbeth comes from a musical family and has been a soprano soloist in Second Church’s Chancel Choir since 2003. While growing up in a suburb of Youngstown, Ohio, she participated in church choirs, danced, played the French horn, and sang informally with her family and Christian fellowship groups.
Lisbeth offers private voice lessons in Greenwich to students age 12 and older and is a teacher with Music Together, an international musical-development organization for children.
