Myself, Courtney, Kathy, Diana, Corolla, Bob and AieTek all arrived in Israel safely. It has been two days now and we have already been so moved by what we are experiencing. We are here with another church and a couple other pastors, all under the care of my seminary professor, Dr. Widbin.
We have already been to Caesarea of King Herod the Great. We walked through the ruins of his palace and heard the stories of those who came before us. St. Peter and St. Paul would have presented themselves in this place, introducing the Gospel, originally meant only for the Jewish people, now to the Gentiles. It was in this moment that every Christian you see can be traced back to this place. It blows my mind that if not for the courage of these two to follow Gods call, that the churches we occupy today, the buildings that we have poured so much time and energy into, would not exist nor would the stories from within that tell of Gods love for all people.
Below are some snapshots, few of many, that I will share more of...once the internet is a bit better :D
Please keep us all in prayer as I remember you all in mine.
